Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 33-year-old woman of no fixed address has been charged with robbery after an incident at a Richmond Street business.
Chatham-Kent police responded at about 7:38 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24. Police say the woman entered the business and tried to leave with unpaid merchandise. When two employees confronted her, she spat in the face and chest of one and struck the other on the arm, police say.
She fled on foot, and police found her a short distance away and arrested her without incident. Police say she was bound by a probation order prohibiting her from attending the business.
She is charged with robbery and failing to comply with a probation order. She was held pending a bail hearing.
