B&E leads to drug charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On April 25, officers were dispatched to an address in Chatham for an active break and enter complaint.

Area residents observed two men enter a vacant residence.

Police arrived, located two men and arrested them.

The first was a 23-year-old Chatham man, who was arrested for break and enter.

The second was a 34-year-old man, who was arrested for break and enter, possess break-in tools and two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking a schedule one substance.

The two were released with bail conditions and a future court date.
