Police investigating a shooting in Wallaceburg area

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Shortly after 4 a.m. this morning, police responded to a shooting on North River Line, just outside of Wallaceburg.

Through investigation, police learned that unknown suspects fired what appeared to be two shotgun rounds at a camper trailer on the property.

A 45-year-old man sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital for medical attention.

He was treated and released.

The Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation.
