Crash in Lambton County leads to impaired driving charge

Lambton OPP officials allege: On August 22, 2021 at 2:30 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of a single motor vehicle collision on Courtright Line.

Officers attended and, upon speaking with the driver, it became apparent the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage.

A roadside screening device was then administered.

The driver was arrested for impaired operation and transported to an OPP detachment where they provided two samples over the legal limit.

A 37-year-old Watford man has been charged with Operation While Impaired.

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on September 27, 2021.
