September 30th is Orange Shirt Day, Canada’s national day for Truth and Reconciliation. In honour of this day and to help teach about residential schools CKPL will be distributing Orange Shirt Pins from each branch. Make a pin or take a pin to wear and remember indigenous children who suffered in residential schools.
Chatham branch will also be hosting a Storytime with Linda-Lou, librarian from Bkejwanong First Nation Public library. Registration is required. Educators, ask us about joining via Zoom.
