FlixBus, an intercity mobility provider, has announced an expansion of its Windsor-Toronto line with new service to Chatham-Kent.
The service started on October 13, 2022.
“FlixBus launched its Ontario network in April 2022 and cross-border service between the U.S. and Canada in May 2022, and this network has already proven to be one of the most successful in FlixBus’ North American network,” company officials said in a media release.
“With the recent launches of new lines to Windsor, Chatham-Kent, Whitby-Oshawa, London, Hamilton and cross-border service to New York City and Buffalo-Niagara International Airport, Canadian travelers have more compelling options for affordable, convenient and sustainable travel for short or long-haul trips.”
FlixBus officials say they launched a new line to Windsor, Ontario, in August 2022, and Chatham-Kent represents the first expansion of this line with service six days per week, excluding Wednesdays, on a line that includes Windsor, Chatham-Kent, London, Hamilton, Toronto and Scarborough.
“Chatham-Kent to Toronto trips will depart from the FlixBus stop at 22216 Bloomfield Road in Chatham in front of the Esso gas station at 9:45 a.m. on service days and arrive in Toronto by 1:50 p.m.,” company officials say.
“Riders heading westward from Toronto will depart from Union Station at 3:30 p.m. and arrive back in Chatham-Kent by 8:10 p.m. With tickets starting as low as $44.99 (CAD), this is a great new intercity transit option to consider for Ontario residents and travelers.”
