Public intoxication arrest in Blenheim

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A man was in area of the Municipal building in Blenheim.

The man was highly intoxicated and trying to fight people on the street.

The 43-year-old Blenheim man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and transported to Headquarters until sober.

A provincial offences ticket was issued under the liquor licence and control act.

Motor vehicle investigation leads to arrest in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A parked vehicle was struck on King Street Chatham and the driver of a second vehicle left the area.

This vehicle was subsequently found.

The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

The driver was taken to Chatham-Kent Headquarters.

A 27-year-old Chatham woman was charged with impaired/80 plus and released with a future court date.

The motor vehicle collision is still under investigation.

Mischief and threats charges in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A local business on Grand Avenue East in Chatham had a window broken.

Through investigation the suspect was located and arrested.

He was transported to Chatham-Kent Headquarters.

While in custody the man made threats to harm another person and was arrested and charged with threats.

A 24-year-old Chatham man was charged with mischief and uttering threats and released with a future court date.
