Dr. Siva Murugappan, a well-known Chatham-Kent surgeon with over 20 years of experience, and his wife, Dr. Prema Samy, an Otolaryngologist surgeon, draw on their expertise and personal encounter with stroke, to guide readers through a profound narrative of hope, recovery, and the unwavering determination to reclaim life after a debilitating medical event.

“The staff noticed he was unsteady and had facial weakness and immediately realized he was having a stroke. From this moment on, our lives were never the same. Frontiers is our story of perseverance and resiliency,” said Dr. Murugappan, in a media release.
“We are both surgeons in our community and the stroke changed our lives forever. Our story highlights our personal struggles with the effects of stroke, but also the challenges a surgeon faces when trying to get back to practice.
