Robert Arthur ‘Waubun –Early Morning Man’ Jacobs, a member of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away peacefully in Chatham on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at the age of 62.
Rob is the son of Harriet and the late Wellington Jacobs.
Beloved husband to Krystal (Kewayosh) Jacobs.
Loving father of Brianne Jacobs, Lora Jacobs-Smith (Bobby), Joe Jacobs (Kirsten Perkin) and Brendan Sands.
Dear grandfather of Nikyah, Maverick, Lola and Jirrick.
Brother of Janine Kewayosh.
He will be deeply missed by his Mother-in-law and his in-laws.
Rob was the owner and operator of Jacobs Building, a construction contracting firm.
He was an excellent cook, catering to many of the programs on Walpole Island and often feeding the whole neighborhood.
Recently Rob had rededicated his life to Jesus.
Family and very close friends are invited to the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231), on Monday, February 5 from 4 – 7 PM.
The funeral will be celebrated at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 6 at 1 PM.
Interment in Highbanks Cemetery to follow.
