Mischief investigation at former Monsignor Uyen Catholic School leads to charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On February 28, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., police responded to the former Monsignor Uyen Catholic School for a mischief investigation.

Upon arrival, officers learned the man, who was identified, used bolt cutters to cut and remove the chain keeping a gate secured.

On March 3, 2024, at 8:47 a.m., officers located the 30-year-old Chatham man on Partridge Crescent in Chatham and arrested him.

He was charged with mischief.

He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
