Chatham-Kent Public Library is excited to announce a special ‘Learn to Curl’ story time in partnership with the Sydenham Community Curling Club (SCC).
This program will take place at the Sydenham Community Curling Club, located at 7379 N River Line in Wallaceburg.
An interactive storytime will be followed by an opportunity for kids to learn the basics of curling on the ice with SCCC’s Little Rocks instructors.
The event will take place Saturday, November 30, 2024, in two sessions: one from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and the second from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is directed toward children ages five to eight, but all are welcome.
Only children over the age of five, with a signed waiver, will be permitted on the ice.
Children who are going on the ice must have clean indoor shoes and a helmet.
Activities will be available for younger siblings or those who do not want to go on the ice.
