Municipal hours across Chatham-Kent for Family Day

Municipal offices and most services will be closed Monday, February 17, 2025 in recognition of Family Day.

Other services are scheduled as follows:

Arenas: All Chatham-Kent Arenas will be open. The February Free Skate schedule can be found at https://www.chatham-kent.ca/explore/Pages/Ice-Skating.aspx

Arts and Culture: The Chatham-Kent Museum and the Thames Art Gallery are open on Family Day from 11am to 4pm. All other municipal Arts and Culture venues are closed on Monday, February 17, including:

– Chatham Capitol Theatre

– Kiwanis Theatre

– CKTickets Box Office located at the Chatham Cultural Centre

– ARTSpace

– The Ridge House Museum and Milner House are currently closed for the season.

Cemetery Operations: Cemeteries staff will be available on call for funeral homes who are in need of at-need lot sales or interment orders.

CK Public Health: CK Public Health will be closed on Monday, February 17. Due to the Public Health lab schedule, acceptance of well water samples will be paused starting Friday February 14th at 11am until regular office hours resume on Tuesday February 18th. Essential after-hours Public Health services are available by calling 1-866-446-8207.

EarlyON: All EarlyON programs are closed on Monday, February 17.

Emergency Services: Police, Fire and Ambulance are operational 24 hours a day, every day, and are accessible by dialling “911” for emergency calls only. The fire administration office will be closed on Monday, February 17 and will re-open on Tuesday, February 18 at 8:30am.

Employment and Social Services: Employment and Social Services will be closed Monday, February 17. The Homeless Response Line at 519-354-6628 for homeless emergencies within Chatham-Kent is operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Entegrus: Entegrus will be closed. The emergency call number is 519-352-6300.

Fleet Services: Fleet Services will be closed on Monday, February 17.

Housing Services: Housing Services will be closed on Monday, February 17. For homeless emergencies please contact the Homeless Response Line at 519-354-6628.

Leaf & Yard Depots: All Leaf and Yard Depots will be closed Monday, February 17.

Libraries: All branches of the Chatham-Kent Public Library usually open on Mondays will be open Monday, February 17. Administration offices will be closed.

Pools: The Blenheim Gable Rees Rotary Pool and the Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool are open for free swims from 10:30am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 2:30pm on Monday, February 17. All other regular programming will not be open.

Provincial Offences Court: The Provincial Offences Court will be closed on Family Day and will re-open on Tuesday, February 18 at 8:30 a.m. Please note that during office closures fines can continue to be paid on-line at www.paytickets.ca

Public Utilities Commission: The PUC will be closed Monday, February 17. for walk-in appointments.

Public Works: Administrative offices will be closed Monday, February 17. Road and Water/Wastewater services will be available for emergency service.

RIDE CK: All Ride CK transit services are closed.

Riverview Gardens: Reception and administrative offices will be closed February 17, but services, activities and visiting hours continue as normal. Nursing staff can be reached 24/7 by calling 519-352-4823.

Service Ontario: Both the Chatham and Dresden locations will be closed on Monday, February 17.

Tourism: CK Tourism will be closed Monday, February 17. To access visitor information at any time, please go to visitck.ca.

Waste Depots (Transfer Stations): All Waste Depots will be closed Monday, February 17.

Waste and Recycling: Collection services will be delayed by one day the week of February 17. For details, please refer to the 2025 Recycling & Waste Collection Guide or website at https://www.chatham-kent.ca/garbage
