MP Lianne Rood closes Wallaceburg office

Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MP Lianne Rood has closed her Wallaceburg office.

Rood posted on social media the move is due to the boundary changes made by Elections Canada during redistribution, along with the impending federal election.

“I have made the difficult decision to close my Wallaceburg office,” Rood said.

“I would like to thank Todd Gurd for his amazing work and years of service. He was truly the heart of the community and I am proud of his representation and outreach. My Strathroy office and the Chatham office of MP Dave Epp will be available to provide assistance to everyone affected by the office closure in the Chatham-Kent area.”

Rood added: “It has been an honour to serve as your federal representative these past six years, and I am thankful for the support you have given me. I know Chatham-Kent will be in good hands with your new representative following the next federal election.”

Rood was first elected as MP in 2019, after long-time MP Bev Shipley retired.
