GPS bracelet removed, failing to comply charges laid in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On March 13, 2025, at approximately 9:05 a.m., a 55-year-old Chatham man was arrested by the Chatham-Kent Police Service for an outstanding endorsed warrant for failing to comply with his release order.

Additionally, the accused also had an outstanding warrant with the London Police Service.

In a prior incident, upon investigation, a GPS bracelet which was used to monitor the accused, was removed.

The accused was arrested based on the removal of his monitor, putting him in breach of his release conditions.

He was remanded into custody and transported to SWDC until his next court appearance scheduled for March 20, 2025, by video.
