Firefighters on Walpole Island remained busy all Easter weekend.
“Walpole Island Fire Department is aware of a large marsh fire currently burning on Squirrel Island,” Walpole fire officials posted on social media.
“Our team is actively monitoring the situation while continuing to respond to emergency calls throughout the community. We appreciate your understanding, and cooperation during this time.”
The Walpole department have been battling multiple marsh fires all weekend and the past several weeks.
