Sarnia Police Service officials allege: On May 9, 2025 at 9:30pm, police received multiple 9-1-1 calls for a large brawl at the intersection of East Street South at Ross Avenue in Sarnia.
Officers arrived to a chaotic scene.
Officers responded to another involved individual who had been sprayed with mace and examined by EMS.
Further information was received that during the altercation, a 36 year old female was walking in the area and observed the fighting.
She was attempting to help her nephew, when she was struck in the face so hard it knocked her to the ground.
She refused medical attention.
While on scene, officers heard screaming and responded to the backyard of an adjacent residence.
A 17-year-old male indicated he had been stabbed and had received a puncture injury to his upper arm.
He also indicated that he had been struck with a baton-type weapon by the same male who had struck the female.
Police believe that this was originally the result of a dispute between the 17-year-old and the known male.
What was originally a fight between the two, quickly escalated with others becoming involved.
As a result of this incident, police have issued an arrest warrant for an 18-year-old Sarnia man.
He has been charged with the following offences:
