The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) has unveiled a new five-year strategic plan aimed at guiding the organization through 2030 with a renewed focus on patient-centred care.
Titled “Our Focus is You,” the 2025–2030 Strategic Plan outlines six key objectives that will shape care delivery, staff experience, and community partnerships at CKHA’s hospital sites in Chatham and Wallaceburg.
“We have created a strategic plan that is big enough to survive five years and is precise enough to be actionable,” said Adam Topp, CKHA’s president and CEO. “We are grateful to everyone who contributed to the development of this plan.”
The plan was developed following broad consultation with staff, physicians, volunteers, patients, families, and community partners.
CKHA’s strategic objectives include:
– Responding to the health care needs of local communities in partnership with others
– Committing to being an exceptional place to work
– Being responsible stewards of resources to maximize care
– Enriching each person’s experience at every interaction
– Delivering safe and high-quality patient care
– Supporting the experience of credentialed health care professionals
The plan is supported by a new purpose statement, “Our Focus is You,” and a new values statement that emphasizes accessible care rooted in equity and kindness.
CKHA is inviting the public to learn more about the plan through the video below or by visiting www.ckha.on.ca/strategic-planning-2025-2030.
