Impaired driving charge laid following traffic stop in Lambton County

OPP officials allege: One individual is facing impaired driving charges after a traffic stop in Lambton County.

On August 3, 2025, shortly after 9:15 p.m., a member of the Lambton County OPP conducted a traffic stop on Inwood Road at Oil Springs Line after observing a suspicious vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, a 24-year-old from Bothwell was charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80.

A 90-day licence suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment were also issued. The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on September 25.
