The Wallaceburg Minor Hockey Association is set to launch its 75th season, with the first week of ice time scheduled to take place at the Walpole Island Sports Complex.
The association said the opening week will feature prep skates, which may be combined with other teams in each age division. All sessions are being held at the Walpole Island facility while renovations continue at Wallaceburg Memorial Arena.
Organizers said they will continue to monitor the progress of the work in Wallaceburg and provide updates on when the association can return to its home ice.
Officials thanked staff at the Walpole Island Sports Complex for their support and flexibility in helping ensure players can begin the season on schedule.
