Police investigating two vehicle thefts in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Chatham-Kent police are asking the public to be on the lookout following two separate vehicle thefts reported in the city.

Officers were called to Richmond Street on Dec. 6 after a compact tractor was reported stolen. Police say the red 2024 Massey Ferguson tractor was last seen around 4:09 a.m., travelling east on Grand Avenue East toward the Longwoods Road and Communication Road area.

A second theft was reported on Dec. 8 on Grand Avenue West. Police say a white 2012 Cadillac SRX was stolen at about 3 a.m., with the report coming in shortly after 2 p.m.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact the Chatham-Kent Police Service at 519-436-6600 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
