Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Two individuals were arrested following a disturbance investigation in Wallaceburg early Saturday morning.
On Jan. 3, 2026, at approximately 5:06 a.m., Chatham-Kent police responded to a disturbance at a residence, where a 34-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, both from Wallaceburg, were involved in a verbal dispute. The investigation determined the man was breaching an existing probation order that prohibited contact with the woman.
Both individuals were arrested. The man was charged with failing to comply with a probation order, while the woman was charged with facilitating a breach of probation. The man was released with a court date of Feb. 11, 2026, while the woman remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
