Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 19-year-old Chatham woman was arrested late Tuesday following a disturbance at a residence on King Street East.
Chatham-Kent police say officers were called to the address at about 11:39 p.m. on Jan. 14, 2026. An intoxicated woman was reportedly refusing to leave her boyfriend’s home despite repeated requests and offers for a ride home.
Police confirmed that no threats or assaults occurred during the incident. As a result, the woman was arrested for breach of the peace and taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, where she was later released into the care of a family member.
