Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 48-year-old woman from London has been arrested on an outstanding warrant in connection with a 2025 theft in Chatham.
Police say the incident occurred on April 30, 2025, when a cellphone was taken from a retail store on O’Neil Street after being left unattended.
Through surveillance and investigation, the suspect was identified. Police say the woman admitted to taking the phone, which was not recovered.
She had previously been released with a court date but failed to attend, resulting in a warrant.
On Feb. 20, 2026, officers located and arrested her on O’Neil Street. She was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on March 23, 2026.
