Sarnia Police Service officials allege: One person has died and another remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a late-night collision in Sarnia.
Sarnia police said emergency crews responded to a crash on Confederation Line between Modeland Road and Blackwell Sideroad shortly after 11 p.m. on Monday.
Two people were transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said one of the individuals later died.
Confederation Line between Modeland Road and Blackwell Sideroad remained closed Tuesday and was expected to stay closed for the remainder of the day while investigators examined the scene.
Police are asking anyone with information about the collision, or anyone with dashcam or surveillance video from the area around the time of the crash, to contact the Sarnia Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
The investigation remains ongoing.
