The Chatham-Kent Public Library is offering a free financial literacy seminar aimed at helping pre-retirees and retirees feel more confident about their financial futures.
The seminar is being presented in partnership with Shauna Tremblay, a life and health insurance advisor at Desjardins Financial Security.
The library said the session is designed for those who are a few years from ending their careers as well as those already retired, and will cover how pensions and investments work. The seminar will also offer practical tools to help attendees secure their wealth, avoid common financial pitfalls and adjust to the mindset shift that comes with life after work, along with strategies for ensuring an estate is handled smoothly and tax-efficiently for the next generation.
The presentation will be held at the Chatham branch on Saturday, October 3 at 1 pm. Registration is not required.
