Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A Chatham-Kent man has been arrested after allegedly forcing entry into a locked compound and stealing a credit card.
On Monday at approximately 10 a.m., police were dispatched to an address on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg regarding a break-and-enter. An unknown suspect had forced entry into a locked compound and stolen a credit card. Through investigation, police were able to identify the suspect.
A 46-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime, theft of a credit card, and two counts of use of a credit card, along with possession of break-in instruments.
He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held for bail.
