Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 44-year-old Chatham man is being held in custody after police say he assaulted his partner during an altercation on Grand Avenue East on Monday evening.
Chatham-Kent police responded to a disturbance at approximately 10:05 p.m. Through investigation, officers determined the man had assaulted his partner. He was arrested and charged with assault. Due to multiple outstanding release orders, he was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
