A panel of four jurors representing arts communities across Chatham-Kent, including Wallaceburg and Highgate, has selected nearly 80 artworks for the biennial Eye4Art exhibition.
The Eye4Art 2026 opening reception takes place Friday, Oct. 23, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Thames Art Gallery. The free, public event will include complimentary gourmet appetizers, live entertainment from local musician Phil Jacobs and a cash bar.
The jurors have selected two works for the Juror’s Awards of Excellence, which will be presented to the winning artists at the reception. The public is invited to vote for their favourite works to help determine the People’s Choice Awards. Awards sponsors are Teksavvy and WINMAR Chatham.
Eye4Art is on display from Oct. 24 to Jan. 31, 2027. The Thames Art Gallery, located in the Chatham Cultural Centre at 75 William St. N., is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended hours on Saturdays until 6 p.m. Admission is by donation.
