Community Living Chatham-Kent’s JOBWORX Employment Services and the municipality’s CKJobs program have announced a partnership aimed at connecting local employers with job seekers and creating more inclusive employment opportunities.
The two organizations say they will work to increase awareness of employment supports, connect employers with qualified candidates and promote inclusive hiring. The partnership will focus on identifying workforce needs, providing employment supports and helping employers access resources that encourage workplace inclusion.
“This collaboration is a tremendous opportunity to connect with employers and our community and showcase the Employment Ontario services and programs available to support job seekers and businesses. More importantly, it allows us to highlight the incredible value people who have diverse abilities bring to the workplace. Inclusive hiring is not simply about creating opportunities, it is about recognizing the unique perspectives, strengths, skills and experiences that can make a workplace stronger. Building inclusive workplaces is good for people, good for business and good for our community, and we are proud to help employers see that value,” said Steve Stokley, manager of JOBWORX Employment Services.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to creating a stronger, more inclusive workforce in Chatham-Kent. By combining the expertise and services of CK Jobs and JOBWORX, we can better support employers in meeting their workforce needs while helping job seekers access meaningful employment opportunities. When employers embrace inclusive hiring, they gain access to talented individuals with unique skills, experiences, and perspectives, creating stronger workplaces and a more vibrant community for everyone,” said Matt Keech, manager of the CKJobs program.
