The second phase of the St. Clair College Community Park on Bear Line has opened, the Municipality of Chatham-Kent says.
It includes 10 pickleball courts, two basketball courts, a playground, walking paths and two washroom buildings. The first phase brought parking lots, infrastructure and the Rogers Tennis Dome. The third and final phase, to be completed next year, will add a soccer and rugby field and a cricket pitch on the back half of the park, with connecting pathways.
The municipality thanked St. Clair College for donating the land and Hydro One for its contributions.
