On Saturday August 30, 2014 at approximately 7:36 pm a Chatham-Kent Police Officer was on general patrol when he noticed what appeared to be a domestic between a male and female on Queen St. in Chatham.
The couple entered a 2002 Red Dodge Caravan Ontario license plate “BVPD 539” and drove at a high rate of speed southbound on Queen St.
The officer activated his roof lights with the intent to stop the vehicle.
The officer was unable to gain on the vehicle, but was able to identify the driver as Peter Hopkinson (1979/10/09) of Moraviantown.
The pursuit was discontinued for public safety reasons.
A warrant is being issued for his arrest on the following charges; Flight from Police, Dangerous Operation of MV, Drive while Disqualified CC x 2, Breach of Recognizance and drive while suspended HTA.
