Yesterday morning, an officer on general patrol observed the man exit the Walmart parking lot onto McNaughton Avenue then immediately pull into the Southwest Regional Credit Union parking lot upon seeing the cruiser.

The officer approached the truck and learned that the man was a suspended driver due to unpaid fines.

The man failed to provide valid insurance and was also bound by a condition not to drive any vehicle unless it was equipped with an ignition interlock device, to which the truck was not.

The 40-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with driving while under suspension, driving a motor vehicle not equipped with an ignition interlock device and failing to surrender an insurance card.

He will be required to attend Provincial Offences Court on March 23, 2016.
