An arrest has been made after a taxi driver was attacked in Sarnia last month.
Sarnia Police officials say on September 11, 2016, at approximately 8:45 am, a local cab driver, 72 years of age, was robbed by his fare after having driven him around.
The Sarnia Police Service was able to release a photo of the suspect from surveillance video and again, thanks to the public, was able to determine who the suspect was.
On September 29, 2016, at approximately 4:55 pm, a member of the Sarnia Police Service COPPS Unit was able to locate the suspect in the area of Christina Street and Wellington Road.
The 22-year-old man is currently in custody and is facing charges for breach of probation, robbery with violence and assault with a weapon.
He has been remanded into custody.
We would like to thank the public for their help in solving this matter.
