Updated story

Emergency crews are at the scene of a fire on John Park Line in Wallaceburg.

Details are limited at the moment, but firefighters were at the location tending to hot-spots.

Chatham-Kent Police were blocking off a portion of the road, which turns into King Street closer into town.

It is not known at this time what exactly is ablaze.

The part of the road being blocked by police does include multiple residential homes.

One Sydenham Current reader said they spotted the flames while driving into Wallaceburg.

“Some type of fire on John Park Line… I saw it while driving home off 40 Highway,” the reader said. “Very big flames.”

Another Wallaceburg resident, who lives a street over on Wallace Street, said they saw the emergency crews at the scene.

“An ambulance, two police cars, three fire trucks, search lights, and people walking with flash lights,” the person said. “I hope everything is OK.”

We’ll provide more information when it becomes available.
