To consumers on the Chatham-Kent Municipal Water Supply in the Town of Thamesville and on a portion of Longwoods Road, Huff’s Side Road, Evergreen Line, Industrial Line, Baseline Road, Sharrow Road, Grove Mills Road, Cider Mill Road, Dawn Mills Road, Station Road and Zone 1.

The Medical Officer of Health, Dr. David Colby, is advising residents to bring the water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to using it for domestic purposes e.g. drinking, making infant formula and juice, brushing teeth, washing raw foods and making ice.

The reason for the boil water advisory is due to a loss of pressure during scheduled construction of a new water line.

This advisory measure is in place until the Health Unit receives good results from two consecutive sets of samples taken a minimum of 24 hours apart.

Pre-recorded updates can be obtained by calling 519-436-3249.
