The opening ceremony of the Chatham-Kent Hospice will be held on Tuesday, April 5.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 34 Wellington Street East location.
Rick Nicholls, MPP for Chatham-Kent-Essex, Ralph Ganter, Director of Health System Design and Implementation, Erie St. Clair Local Health Integration Network, Derek Robertson, Chatham-Kent councillor, and Jennifer Wilson, chair of Chatham-Kent hospice board are scheduled to speak.
A ribbon tying ceremony will be held at 12 p.m.
The grand opening ceremony is taking place within a year of their construction launch.
The ceremony kicks off a week of celebration ending with public open house tours on Saturday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 10 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
