Information sought after Highway 40 crash

The OPP are looking for the public’s help after a crash on Highway 40.

Lambton OPP officials say on May 25, 2016 at approximately 5:30 a.m. members of the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with ambulance and the St Clair Twp. Fire Department attended #40 Highway south of Rokeby Line, St. Clair Township to investigate a single motor vehicle collision.

Investigation revealed that a black Dodge Dakota pick-up truck was travelling south bound on Highway #40 at Rokeby Line.

The pick-up lost control, leaving the roadway entering the ditch causing extensive damage to the pick-up truck.

The driver, a 47 year old male suffered minor injuries and was charged with careless driving.

The OPP is continuing to actively investigate this incident.

The OPP is seeking community support with regard to this occurrence.

If anyone observed a black Dodge Dakota pick-up truck driving erratically in the area of #40 Highway and Rokeby Line between 3 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. they are being asked to contact the OPP at 519-882-1011 or Crime Stoppers.
