Arson charges have been laid stemming from a domestic incident in Merlin.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say just before midnight last night, a verbal argument began between a married couple at their residence in Merlin.
The dispute escalated and the woman allegedly set the residence on fire causing minor damage.
Police were called and the woman was arrested.
The 54-year-old Merlin woman has been charged with one count of arson.
She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
