Two people have been arrested by the Sarnia Police for Human Trafficking.
Sarnia police officials say on Thursday March 23, members of the Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch were made aware of a victim of Human Trafficking.
Thanks to information received from the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police, detectives from the Sarnia Police Service were able to initiate an investigation into this matter.
The victim is a 19-year-old female, who is not from Sarnia, and the two accused are from the Peel Region.
It is alleged that the victim has been forced to work in the sex trade industry as an escort for the past two years and has been made to work in various cities across Ontario, with the most recent being Sarnia.
Police say this young lady has been forced to hand over all the money she made and has been threatened and assaulted while with the two accused.
Ian Anthony Green, 25 years of age, was arrested on March 24, 2017 and has been charged with human trafficking, and several other related charges.
22 year old Shaquwone Rose is charged with Human Trafficking and breach of probation.
Rose was arrested on March 23, 2017.
Both are currently in custody and are awaiting a bail hearing.

Sarnia Police officials say Human Trafficking means every person who recruits, transports, transfers, receives, holds, conceals or harbours a person, or exercises control, direction or influence over the movements of a person, for the purpose of exploiting them or facilitating their exploitation, for a sexual purpose or a forced labour purpose.
Victims can be men, women or children; can be Canadian citizens; and can be moved across local, provincial or national borders.
They can be coerced through violence or the threat of violence against family and friends.
