Exciting changes at The Stubby Goat

Some exciting and delicious changes are coming to Wallaceburg’s newest downtown restaurant, The Stubby Goat.

Jay DeBuck, co-owner of the 153 Nelson Street restaurant, said they are making some slight, but exciting, alterations to their nightly specials.

“So Monday night. we have had it for awhile now, we are going to still keep it with pizza night,” Jay said.

“One specialty pizza and two pints of Bud Light for $18.95. We have our specialty pizza. Cheese is $10.95, pepperoni and vegetarian are $11.95 and for $12.95 we have got BBQ chicken, Canadian, Hawaiian, meat lovers and supreme.”

Jay said on Tuesdays The Stubby Goat is sticking with build you own pasta, but they are going to bring the price down to $13.95 and will include soup or salad to start.

Build your own pasta consists of:

– You get to choose your own pasta

– One sauce – tomato, Alfredo or a combination of them both for a blush sauce

– One protein – shrimp, chicken, bacon or Italian sausage

– Add as many vegetables as you want – garlic, tomatoes, peppers, onions, mushrooms, broccoli and black olives

Jay said on Wednesday nights now, they are starting build your own burger.

“We are giving you a 5oz patty to start out with fries for $9.95 and we are just going to give you a bunch of ingredients. Some of those will be the traditional lettuce, onion tomato, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise and we are also giving chipotle mayo.”

“Then some of the different ones we are giving are sauteed mushrooms, sauteed onions, jalapeno slices, pineapple slices, peameal bacon, a fried egg, pepper jack bacon, three different types of cheeses. Mozzarella, Swiss and cheddar.”

Jay said for $10.95 you can get it with Caesar salad, or $9.95 with fries.

Thursday night will be The Stubby Goat’s new wing night.

“It is 70 cents a wing, non-battered, nice and crispy,” Jay said.

The different types of wings, include:

– Butter and Franks

– Honey Garlic (in-house)

– Salt and Pepper

– Plain

– BBQ

– Cajun

“It is also Thirsty Thursdays, so it is $4 mix drinks,” he said.
