Police looking to ID cell phone thief

The Chatham-Kent Police Service are looking for the public’s to identify an alleged cell phone thief.

Police officialsm say on Thursday, May 25, an unknown woman was at Loads of Love located at 15 Prince Street N. in Chatham.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. another customer (within Loads of Love) set her Samsung S5 cell phone down on the cashier countertop to tend to her grandchild.

The unknown woman (pictured) is allegedly captured on video surveillance taking the cell phone, estimated at $560, police officials say.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the woman.
