Kinstock tickets available

The Dresden Kinstock Music Festival is going ‘country’ this weekend.

The all-ages event being held at Kinsmen Park will feature Sarah Smith, Jessica Mitchell, Mandy Jo Project & The Groove Noodles on Friday and the River Town Saints, Eric Ethridge, Buck Twenty, Dirt Country and Jacklyn Wills & Round House on Saturday.

Tickets are $35 for both nights and they are available on line at ticketscene.ca, Dresden Meat Packers, McKellar’s Flowers in Dresden, Dresden Meat & Deli in Wallaceburg, Tony’s One Stop or Strings N Things in Chatham and at Blenheim Chev.

The Sombra Optimist Club presented an Outstanding Citizen of the Year award to Al Anderson in recognition of over 30 years of dedicated service to the citizens of St Clair Township.

Al started out volunteering with the Sombra Historical Society in 1984 and progressed to the Sombra Museum Board where he has been active ever since.

He also helped head projects such as two war memorial books honouring local men and women, historical plaques throughout the Township and the new dock in Sombra to name a few.
