Brodie gearing up for season with Flames

Dresden’s T.J. Brodie is gearing up for his 7th full season with the Calgary Flames.

Brodie told CalgaryFlames.com he’s looking forward to possibly playing along-side newly acquired and fellow defenseman, Travis Hamonic.

However, Brodie said he’d happy to line up beside any of the Flames other defenders.

“We’ve got a lot of good d-men here, more than just four,” Brodie said.

“So there are lots of possibilities. It’s one of those things – who meshes better with who, who finds a groove, gets some confidence and runs with it.”

Calgary hits the ice in pre-season action on September 18 in Edmonton.

The Flames will be back in Edmonton on October 4 when the regular season gets underway.
