Lottery ticket thief arrested in Wallaceburg

A Wallaceburg man is in custody after some lottery tickets were stolen on Sunday.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say last night at around 9:45 p.m, officers were dispatched to the Dufferin Ave. area in Wallaceburg regarding the theft of lottery tickets.

Police allege the suspect stole lottery tickets from the local business, without any attempt to pay.

Through investigation, officers located the 34-year-old Wallaceburg man a short time later, arrested and transported him to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters where he is being held for a bail hearing.
