A Wallaceburg man faces charged after a traffic stop on Monday morning.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say yesterday at 10:30 a.m. an officer was conducting traffic enforcement at the intersection of Base Line and Old Glass Road in Wallaceburg.
Police allege a Chevrolet Impala was stopped due to the validation tag being expired since 2015.
Further investigation revealed the driver had no insurance for the vehicle, police say.
As a result, the vehicle was towed from the location and the 57-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with the following offences:
– Owner Operate Motor Vehicle on a Highway – No Insurance
– Drive Motor Vehicle, No Currently Validated Permit
He is required to attend court at the end of December.
