Blenheim man dies after a crash in Lakeshore

A Blenheim man has died following a crash in Lakeshore.

OPP officials say on December 3, at approximately 11:40 a.m. the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Essex Windsor Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Lakeshore Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Essex County Roads 46 and 37 Lakeshore, Ontario.

Police say a Chevrolet passenger vehicle and a John Deere farm tractor collided at the intersection sending the lone occupant driver of the Chevrolet to an area hospital with life threatening injuries.

Randy Dauphin, 59-years-old from Blenheim, died at the hospital.

The driver of the farm tractor was not injured.

The intersection was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
