EARF raises $2,400 for animal emergencies

The recent Emergency Animal Rescue Fund (EARF) event has been deemed a success once again by organizers.

Maryanne Holland, owner of K-9 Klips, says they made over $2,400 in profit at the March 24 event, held at the Moose Lodge in Wallaceburg.

Proceeds go into a fund to be used for emergency situations involving animals in the Wallaceburg area.

Holland says $500 has already been spent on two different emergencies.

In total, approximately 110 people were in attendance at the fundraiser.

“The food was great,” Holland said.

“The bands were excellent. There was a lot of positive feedback and many folks are looking forward to next year.”

Holland wanted to thank all of the local businesses who donated door prizes and auction items.
