Prescription Drug Drop Off Day is being held Satirday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Shopper’s Drug Mart, 30 McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg, the Chatham-Kent Criminal Courthouse and Shopper’s Drug Mart in Tilbury. Citizens are encouraged to drop off their old and unused medication at any of the three locations.

‘Shred It’ will also be at the Courthouse accepting papers, books, DVDs, CDs etc for a fee of $10 per bankers box. All proceeds will be going to Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers.

The finals of the Basso’s No Frills Jr. Star Search is being held SUnday at The Canadian Belgian Dutch Club in Wallaceburg for the The event gets underway at 2 p.m. and six contestants will be vying for a selection of prizes.

A discussion entitled ‘Our Health: How Are We Doing?’ Is set to take place on Monday, May 7. The forum will take place in Council Chambers at the Civic Centre at 6 p.m. It will raise issues and promote discussion concerning the state of chronic disease in Chatham-Kent and how health can enhance the quality of life in the community.

A Spring Fashion Show hosted by the Catherine McVean Chapter of the IODE is taking place on Thursday, May 10 at the Dresden Arena.Tickets are $20 doors open at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:15 p.m., and fashions at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at McKellar’s Flowers or by calling Lynda Weese 519-436-1754.

Wallaceburg Museum in association with Act II Productions presents “The Ladies Foursome” a comedy play by Norm Foster, directed by Dan White at the Jeanne Gordon Hall, on Thursday May 10 at 7:30 p.m., May 11 at 7:30 p.m. and May 12 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20. The candidates in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex for the Ontario election are being invited to a debate in Wallaceburg. The focus of the all-candidates debate will be health care. The event is being held on May 12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 18, located at 52 Margaret Ave. in Wallaceburg.
