Events: Kinstock, 3Rivers Roll, Farmers Market, St. Clair River Run

The two day Dresden Kinstock event is set for this weekend, and will feature an assortment of talent. Runaway Angel, Julia Haggarty, Dirt Country and The Chasers will perform on the Friday. The Friday shows will run from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Andrew Hyatt, The Reklaws, Kansas Stone, Kelsi Maye and Dresden’s own Jacklyn Wills will perform on the Saturday. The Saturday shows run from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Two-day tickets are $40. Camping is also available for $25. For tickets information call 519-683-4368.

The Sombra Optimist Club is hosting a Fire Truck ‘RIG-ata’ on Saturday July 14 at Brander Park in Port Lambton featuring antique fire trucks from the 1920’s to 1980’s. The festivities start off with a parade of the antique fire truck rigs that have served across Canada and the United States that will leave Brander Park at 11 a.m.

The Dresden Rotary Club has kicked-off their 2018 Summer Concert Series. The concerts will be held each Thursday this summer until August 23. A community barbecue will be held each week at 6 p.m. and the music begins at 7 p.m. Admission is FREE. People are encouraged to bring a lawn Chair. There will be a 50-50 draw and door prize draws each week.

The Wallaceburg & District Council For The Arts Outdoor Summer Concert Series will continue on Tuesday. The show runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Library Park. This week, Connor Wilson & Jay Allan will be performing.

The 6th Annual Juried Art Show is up and running at the Wallaceburg & District Museum. There are a total of 55 entries seeking to win the cash awards this year. Prize night will be held on August 17th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and everyone is welcome to attend. The display will be at the Museum until August 30 and people are encouraged to check it out. The Museum’s hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The next 3Rivers Roll, hosted by Community Living Wallaceburg, is taking place on Wednesday, July 18 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The slow roll biking event will start off from Oaks Retirement Village.

The next Wallaceburg Farmers’ Market is taking place on July 21, this is the same day the Wallaceburg Chamber will be holding Wallyfest. The third annual event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be many vendors and a kid’s zone.

The St. Clair River Run is scheduled for Saturday, July 21st. This certified race, presented by CF Industries, is a chip-timed 10 km run and 5 km walk/run following the shore of the St. Clair River through the villages of Sombra and Port Lambton.
