Lakers drop home opener to Blades

The Lakers fell to the Blenheim Blades on Wednesday in Wallaceburg’s home opener for the 2018/2019 season.

The final score was 4-1.

Blenheim built a 4-0 lead throughout the game, before Myles Fraser got the Lakers on the board at the 18:55 mark of the third period.

Stone Jacobs picked up an assist on the goal.

Travis Moore made 37 saves in a losing effort.

Wallaceburg will hit the road on Saturday in their next game, when they visit the Mooretown Flags.

Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m.
